History:
New Harmony Christian Academy began in August of 2001, thanks to the passion and determination of our administrator, Mrs. Julie McNeal. After the devastating fire that destroyed the original New Harmony Church building, exciting plans were under way to build a new place of worship for the church family. Mrs. McNeal was excited for reasons of her own. She saw a further need than just a new building. She understood that the most important part of the ministry was the future, and therefore in the hands of our precious youth.  She began formulating plans for a school. In conjunction with the church staff, Mrs. McNeal paved the way for the academy that started with only pre-school, and now goes all the way up to the seventh grade.

Our mission is to partner with parents and guardians in providing a faith growing and academic
education. We want to grow enthusiastic Christ followers, who not only know about Him, but love him with every fiber of
their being. For it is written, “ Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.”

We are a close knit group of teachers and students who have the pleasure of coming together
everyday for school in order to teach, learn, and grow in the knowledge and love of our Savior Jesus Christ. Throughout
the year, we come to know each other in a way that better resembles a family than a school. We, the teachers and staff,
care for and love each of the children as if they were our own.
